To Make Money Online You Need To Change Your Mindset
In order to be successful online, we need to start off having the right mindset. Even if you have opted in for Complete Newbie Training, the right mindset is paramount for your success.
This is a good example from motivational speaker Zig Ziglar, who tells the story of a stone cutter.
The frail old man sits hunched over a block of stone, chipping at it with his tiny hammer.
Bam. Bam. Bam.
He strikes the big boulder repeatedly with his puny tool.
Nothing seems to happen. The rock is still just as solid, unbreakable.
He keeps going.
10 times. 20 times. 50, then 100.
Still, nothing.
Even after 9,999 strikes, the boulder looks to be just the same as it was when he started.
But then, all of a sudden, magic happens.
At the 10,000th stroke of the hammer, the huge rock just SHATTERS into hundreds of small fragments!
So, here's my first question to you:
Were the 9,999 strokes that went earlier useless?
Think about it for a moment.
True, nothing seems to happen from the outside when you look at that rock.
Yet, within it, cracks develop.
Weaknesses spread.
Particles realign.
Until, finally, at the last blow, it crumbles!
Online Marketing, and every other marketing task you learn to do is exactly like that.
Momentum builds. Change is set into place. Stuff happens, even when nothing seems to.
And then, at a magical point in time,
EVERYTHING comes together at once!
The key is to NOT give up before that point.
The key is to keep believing that day is just around the corner.
The key is to stick with your action plan until it has an effect.
Now, my next question for you:
Can you START OFF with the 10,000th strike?
Silly question, right?
Of course you can't.
So why do so many Internet Marketing Newbies drool at the thought of owning a list of thousands of hot subscribers - by this time next week?
Success takes time, learning, practice and of course also occasional failure.
But with persistence, you will win through.
Make that your core belief when it comes to your internet marketing journey.
Accept that you won't see miracles happen - but that you will be laying the foundation for a system that will grow bigger in time.
I'll leave you with my favorite metaphor about success.
If success lies at the surface of a sphere, and you are in the center of it, all you have to do to reach it is to KEEP MOVING in the same direction.
It doesn't matter how fast or slow you go, or even WHICH direction you move... as long as you keep going, you'll reach success.
On the other hand, if you keep zig zagging back and forth, you could spend a lifetime going around in circles - but around the center of the sphere, never reaching the surface, to taste success!
Be ready to start moving! Get a powerful reason for setting up your online business and therefore a passionate purpose to stick to it until you achieve your goal.
